Both Ombre and Powder brows include the usage of a digital machine. Together you and I determine the best technique, the appropriate shades and skin undertones to match your eyebrow color. If the eyebrows are still present the color will blend seamlessly with them. The results are very realistic to the natural brow. The procedure is semi-permanent as fading will occur over time, future procedures are advised for upkeep.
The use of anesthetic creams is offered during the procedure to minimize discomfort. Swelling and tenderness will happen to some extent but only for a short period of time.
Is it safe?
We are AHS (Alberta Health and Safety) approved. Cross contamination guidelines are strictly adhered to. All instruments are sterilized and sealed in advance of procedure.
Is it painful?
If there is any discomfort. The use of anesthetic cream is offered; however, effectiveness will vary from person to person.
Is it for me?
Due to safety concerns, if you are pregnant or nursing, you will not be considered for tattooing.
Anyone under the age of 18 will not be considered for tattooing.
Individuals on Insulin, blood thinners are not good candidates for tattooing.
Extremely oily skin may cause concern, as it may not do well with pigment retention.
How long does it last?
Semi-permanent cosmetics fade over time, the pigment can last up to 1-3 years. Cosmetic tattoo does require maintenance. Annual upkeep is recommended to boost color and to prevent natural fading.
The amount of fading depends on several variables, but is primarily due to sun (ultra-violet) exposure; therefore, measures should be taken to protect your permanent cosmetics from the sun, tanning beds etc.
The cosmetics implantation technique deposits color pigment into the upper layer of the skin. It’s called permanent because it can’t wash away and some pigment molecules remain in the skin forever.
Unlike traditional tattoos performed on the body, permanent cosmetics professionals do not use traditional tattoo ink. Permanent cosmetics pigment has a larger molecule, is more delicate and designed to work with the skin’s undertones and to mimic hair. Every person’s skin is different regarding pigment retention.
Factors which affect longevity of permanent cosmetics are: color selected, age, thickness of skin, scarring of skin, use of skin care products, injectables, laser treatments, medication and sun exposure. You will need periodic refreshing of color, depending on how light the shade of implanted pigment was, as well as factors mentioned above..
Powdered Brows are not recommended for clients who are or have any of the following:
Pregnant or Nursing
Diabetic
Undergoing Chemotherapy (consult with your doctor)
Viral infections (diseases)
Had botox within a 3 week period of microblading appointment
Had an organ transplant
Epilepsy
Sick with a cold or flu like virus
Used Accutane in the past 6 months
